This series dates back to 2023 and it’s one of my first experiments in "breaking the tools" when working with AI. Messing around with the diffusion process itself - a technique that I have incorporated in many of my later works - I realized how generative AI resembles memory more than it does intelligence. A generated image is an imperfect memory, much similar to the memories we fabricate as humans. It was the beginning of a deep and wide exploration of warped nostalgia, and the impalpable nature of the past.
